On the second day, Edwin and John were again picked up at the hotel at 8:30am by their new Cisco friend Zhang Li. First stop was the Summer Palace, where John and Edwin both took a bunch of nice reflecting pictures at the lake, and they all climbed up to the top of the palace.
The weather was so nice all day, they decided to go back to the Great Wall, this time to the Badaling site. This site was much more crowded than the previous day's, both because of the nice weather and because it's closer to Beijing.
Next stop, back to the city, so Zhang Li could go home to his real family, and Edwin and John were picked up by another new Cisco friend, Isabella. First stop was a back-alley shopping area, where Edwin bought gifts for his team. Next, they went to the Temple of Heaven, and then went to dinner for some distinctly local Beijing food. And finally, back to the hotel to prepare the web page and pack up for the trip home early the next morning.
