Day Five ..

This morning we picked up our rental car, and John had all kinds of fun driving aggressively on the wrong side of the road. Fun for him, terrifying for everyone else! But we arrived safely in Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace and a place that is very Shakespearean indeed. We enjoyed watching the swans, geese and ducks cruising on the mighty Avon river (stream?), ate dinner at a local fish-and-chips joint, and completed the day with "The Comedy of Errors" at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
