Everyone's back in their right minds today, so we do a few things. John and Gina, who has pretty much recovered, go shopping, while Kate, Mike and Susie hit the beach. Then Gina and Susie take a surfing lesson from a guy named Roy and do quite well, with no serious wipe-out or head bonking, so now they can say they are really surfers. Mike, meanwhile, is surfing the web on his computer. John falls asleep from all the excitement.
We lounge around the hotel for a while. It's the Hyatt Regency and full of very nice little shops, though no one's buying too much (stores like Ralph Lauren and other designer places). We do frequent the ABC discount store and there are two of them in the hotel! This is where everyone goes to buy essentials, cosmetics and Hawaiian stuff.
The kids go back in the water, with Gina getting a nice sunburn, and we head out to dinner at Chuck's Steak House, on the beach. A little post-dinner strolling and we're back, packing for yet another plane trip. Onward, to Maui...
